event - Britain, Europe and the General Election

The Federal Trust are hosting a conference in London entitled "BRITAIN, EUROPE AND THE GENERAL ELECTION" on 14 April 2010, 15.00 for 15.30 - 19.00 followed by a drinks reception. At this conference they will be considering the European policies of the main British parties and asking how far they will be in a position to carry these policies out after the next General Election.

They will also be reviewing specific policy areas that might be affected by the outcome of the Election. Among the speakers will be Professor Stephen Haseler, Maurice Fraser, a former special adviser to Douglas Hurd, and the authors of Federal Trust's recent pamphlet on financial regulation, Sir Brian Unwin and Graham Bishop. The director, Brendan Donnelly, will chair the meeting and offer some thoughts of his own in the second panel.
