How to help shape Liberal Democrat policy on Europe

5.21.34pm GMT Mon 15th Jan 2007

The Liberal Democrats' Federal Policy Committee (FPC) is changing the way it advertises for members to serve on Policy Working Groups. Rather than advertising for each group, it is now establishing a general panel of potential working group members from which it will draw to set up individual groups. This panel will be re-advertised and renewed annually.

Party members wishing to be included on the panel for 2007 should fill in and return an application by Monday 22nd January 2007. An application form is available from the party website (http://tinyurl.com/y7po3o).

The FPC has already decided to set up various new working groups including one on Europe in 2007 (also science and education) so members with a particular interest are encouraged to come forward. Applications from under-represented groups including women and ethnic minorities are also strongly encouraged.
